Celebrating Seafood!!

On a trip up the Maine coast, outside of the restaurant "Taste of Maine" a big red lobster caught my eye. As we made a U-turn we had to wait 30 minutes before it opened.
Once the restaurant opened we were greeted by the owner Candy and her great personality.

Opening for their 39th Consecutive Season on March 23, 2017

The restaurant is a fourth generation establishment and Candy's kids were hard at work.  She shared the history of the restaurant with us with pride.  The antiques in the store are fantastic!! From an old gas pump to a collection of dolls. There is something vintage everywhere.  A collector's paradise!!

A television monitor  allows you to view the Osprey nest outside which Candy says has been there since 1989 I believe.  We had the buffet while overlooking Pleasant Cove (Sasanoa River).  Binoculars were provided to view out.  There's plenty of seating options. You can enjoy the outside on the sundeck as well. A buffet is offered along with menu items.  A variety of foods were on the buffet, it's a great choice if you can't make up your mind.  The service here is a 10!

The restaurant can accommodate up to approximately 300 people.

Remember the old scale?

Guest come from all over the world, When will you pin your spot?!

 Enjoying the journey
