Visit An "Old Florida" Beach!

Coquina Beach!
Anna Maria Island, Florida

Coquina Beach is a scenic "Old Florida" style beach along the Gulf of Mexico at the southern end of Anna Maria Island, Florida

A weekend trip to Florida's Gulf Coast, landed us here.  The palm and pine trees that line this spot were a delight, as it provided shade on a hot Florida afternoon.

If you remember the Old Florida as we do, you'll love the feel of old times and remembering the past.

Laid back and full of that charm we remember, this gulf coast beach is a gem.

Even if you don't remember those days, this beach will definitely start new memories.  There's lots of grills, tables and space which makes it the perfect place for picnicking on any day.

If you love shell collecting, you've found the spot.

In March 2015, Conde Nast Traveler named Coquina Beach as one of the "top 5" beaches in the entire world for perfect sand.  That makes it the only beach in Florida and the continental USA to receive this recognition.

While visiting Florida,  add this to your list of beaches to visit while in the sunshine state!
