Don't overlook this lakefront park when traveling to Central Florida. Take a detour from the theme parks and enjoy a relaxing day. The park has walking paths, picnic pavilions, a fishing pier and spacious playgrounds! Located on Lake Tohopekaliga the view is breathtaking. Benches along the lake makes it easy to just sit and take in the view.

There's a boat launch for boaters and a light house. This park has it all . It's a perfect place for family gatherings, a birthday celebration or a reunion. My family's reunion was here years ago, but they have updated the park, its better than ever. The shelters are big and roomy with plenty of seating. The playgrounds keep the kids busy.

You can have a picnic for two, a family picnic or just walk into one of the restaurants near or across the street. On weekdays the parking is great, the days events are held it could be hard to find a space, There also are a couple monuments to visit while in the park.
