Blocks and Blocks Of Color

For The Art Lover!!!

Celebrating my birthday weekend, We took a trip to a happy place Wynwood Art District!!

Colorful Street Art by artists from around the world is awaiting you when you enter the Wynwood District.  Back in 2009  Tony Goldman was looking for something to vitalize the warehouse district of Wynwood.  With so many warehouses with no windows he decided they would become the greatest street art anyone has ever seen. Located in sunny Miami, this is the place to be for any art lover or just about anyone who loves the open air and happy stuff.

Wynwood is Miami's only outdoor street art park, giving everyone a selection of urban graffiti, and colorful murals.  Since it's inception the Wynwood Walls have covered over 80,000 square feet of walls. It has become a must see for Americans and International visitors.

Wynwood Doors is an area that was once a dump, now transformed into a beautiful park with boulders and trees.  The artist here are just as awesome on a smaller scale.  There's something for everyone I must say.

Outside the park in the surrounding neighborhoods, there are murals, sculptures and art everywhere. So wherever you walk you're sure to see art work of some great artists.

There is no shortage of restaurants for your appetite after walking around.  The Wynwood Diner was our place of choice and it delivered. The atmosphere is delightful, the food excellent!

Day or night the art is awesome. Allow yourself at least an hour or two to walk  around.  The park is open year round and free to all. Miami's weather allows a visit any time of the year.  Although it gets very hot during the summer, the beach isn't far away.
